Soon to be making another run!
That's right everyone. I have decided to return to shipboard living. In fact, I leave for Seattle in only a few hours to join the Golden Princess on Saturday. I am looking forward to an exciting and new position. Still I will be a Senior Assistant Purser, but no longer in The Tour Office.
So that means over the next fews weeks look for some posts on this new adventure and you can expect to see some changes in the blog design. Also, it would be a great time to subscribe so you don't miss anything. Bon Voyage for now!

The open road...
One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. "Which road do I take?" she asked. "Where do you want to go?" was his response. "I don't know," Alice answered. "Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter." -- Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland.
I have come to a fork in the road my dear friends. It is time for me to move away from the Tour Office and regroup. So look at the beautiful cocoon where I will reinvent myself for awhile and in time I will return looking as gorgeous as ever.
This is the last post on this little blog. Hugs and goodbye to all!

Severe Thunderstorms, Lightening and Tornados
Yikes! We had a doozy of a storm here in Missouri last night. Our severe weather sirens were going off constantly until about 5am this morning. The local TV stations were telling people in the area to take shelter and no less that 7 tornados passed through. Thankfully, not many of them touched down but there were two deaths caused by severe winds which they said were 65 mph. It's a twister, Auntie Em, it's a twister!

Fantastic Music Machine
This is almost unbelievable. See how all of the balls wind up in catcher cones. This incredible machine was built as a collaborative effort between the Robert M. Trammell Music Conservatory and the Sharon Wick School of Engineering at the University of Iowa ... Amazingly, 97% of the machines components came from John Deere Industries and Irrigation Equipment of Bancroft, Iowa, yes farm equipment!
It took the team a combined 13,029 hours of set-up, alignment, calibration, and tuning before filming this video but as you can see it was WELL worth the effort. It is now on display in the Matthew Gerhard Alumni Hall at the University and is already slated to be donated to the Smithsonian.
